Every year, over 33% of seniors fall in the United States.

Consequences of these falls can be devastating, resulting in injury, fractured bones, long-term disability, and in some cases death.

STURDY is a research program conducted by Johns Hopkins University and the National Institute of Aging of the NIH (National Institutes of Health) to find out if vitamin D pills will help prevent falls.

STURDY stands for "Study to Understand Fall Reduction and Vitamin D in You."

You can MAKE A DIFFERENCE by participating in STURDY to help doctors, nutritionists, and seniors understand more about vitamin D and falls.
